Newcastle Now today launched the first stage of a comprehensive business support program to assist business owners affected by light rail
Newcastle Now is collaborating with The Business Centre Newcastle to provide one-on-one support for businesses in need.
The program includes:
- 12 hours’ free consultation with an expert business adviser
- Specialist accounting and financial advice
- A business health check, including a disruption action plan
“We have been working closely with the business community since January to develop a range of meaningful and targeted initiatives to not only bring people
into the city, but to also help businesses get through the disruption caused by the light rail construction,” Mr Christian said.
The not-for-profit organisation is also running a series of monthly “smart business” seminars from June that have been designed to help small businesses
access training programs and grants, improve their digital marketing and provide customer service excellence.
Newcastle Now has requested a meeting with the NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, to outline the business support program during her visit to the city on
Friday (25 May).
Business owners seeking assistance can contact Newcastle Now 4929 4644 and they will be confidentially referred to the program.
